Earth day is coming! Earth day is coming!

I am sure everyone has heard that April is earth month, April 22nd is earth day…blah, blah, blah. We here at Clean Air Lawn Care think everyday should be earth day. I know that sounds like a cliché but we truly mean it. Even if you cannot afford to have your lawn serviced by Clean Air Lawn Care, the next time you go buy lawn care equipment think about going with electric. Black and Decker has a great line of cordless battery powered mowers, trimmers, and blowers.

There are all kinds of little things you can do to help save the environment. Check out Time magazine’s article on things you can do. No matter where you look everyone is getting on the green bandwagon.

Clean Air Lawn Care at the Portland Trailblazer game

Thursday April 3rd, the Portland Trailblazer basketball team invited some environmentally friendly companies to have booths at their game vs. the Houston Rockets. April is Earth Month and this is just the first of several events going on in April. We were there with our cohorts who have a franchise in North Portland, Todd Hepp and Jon Puckett.

Clayton, co owner of Clean Air Northwest LLC is in the middle in the green shirt. Jon Puckett is on the left and Todd Hepp is on the right. They are the co owners of Clean Air Portland LLC which operates a Clean Air Lawn Care franchise in North Portland.

You can see one of our solar panels that help to charge our battery powered mowers. We also have to charge the batteries overnight but we buy wind energy credits to offset those emissions. We team with Juice energy to ensure carbon neutrality.

Hopefully the hail and rainstorms have stopped and everyone is ready for their yard to be mowed. Do it this year the environmentally friendly, green, quiet and responsible way–use Clean Air Lawn Care.

Clean Air Lawn Care Portland Launch

Clean Air Lawn Care was started in Fort Collins Colorado in 2006. Portland was one of the test sites for franchising last year in 2007 and I was the manager of that operation. Now my business partner and I have taken over full ownership of one of the Portland franchises. We are excited about the opportunity here in Portland. Portland is always on the top of the lists of the greenest cities in the nation and we think Portlanders are going to love our service.

We offer environmentally clean, high quality mowing services. We only use electric equipment powered through renewable energy–wind and solar. This has several benefits. We have zero net emissions of greenhouse gases and electric equipment is up to 75% quieter than traditional gas burning lawn care equipment.

We look forward to serving the Portland and we can’t wait to start saving the environment one lawn at a time. Please come back to my blog, submit questions about lawn care and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.
